Collecting DoubleDown Codes on Your Phone or Tablet

Plenty of our community collects codes entirely from a phone or tablet, and it works beautifully once you know the quirks. Here is the mobile routine, step by step.

The short version: install the app, sign in to it, and keep our codes page one tap away. Everything after that is thumbing down a list.

Set yourself up once

DoubleDown Casino runs on iPhone and iPad from the App Store, on Android phones and tablets from Google Play, and on Kindle Fire from Amazon. Install it, open it, and sign in the way you always play.

That last part matters more than anything else here. A code credits its chips to whichever DoubleDown account it signs you into, so make sure your phone is signed in as the player you actually are. If you play through Facebook, be signed in to that same Facebook account in your phone's browser too. Otherwise the chips land somewhere you will never see them.

The routine, step by step

1. Open https://www.ddpcshares.com/double_down_c ... tion_codes in your phone's browser.
2. Tap the newest code at the top of the list.
3. Tap the Redeemable Code Link. Your device hands you over to DoubleDown Casino, and the chips are applied once the game finishes loading.
4. Come back to the browser and use the big button on the post to move to the next code.
5. Keep going until you run out of new codes or the game asks you to slow down. DoubleDown allows up to 12 free-chip offers in a 180-minute window, and codes marked FREE SPIN do not count toward that, so save those for last.

If a link opens a web page instead of the app, do not panic. Let the page load and follow it through - the chips still arrive, as long as it is signing you into the account you play on.

When your device will not hand you over

On Android this is the one snag nearly everybody meets. The code link opens in a small window inside another app, and that window cannot reach the game.

The fix takes two taps. Tap the "..." menu in the top right of that window, then choose "Open in an external browser". The link behaves itself from there.

The manual code is your other backup. Every code page shows a Manual Code with a copy icon beside it. Tap the icon to put the code on your clipboard, then use it on DoubleDown's code redemption web page. The game lobby no longer has a code box of its own, so that web page is where manual codes go now.

Keep the page close to your thumb

Add our codes page to your bookmarks or, better still, to your phone's home screen. The closer it sits to your thumb, the more codes you will actually collect. That is the whole difference between players who mean to check and players who do.

While you are in the game, tap the menu button at the top right, next to your chip count, go to settings, and switch on mobile notifications. When one arrives with chips in it, tap or swipe the notification itself to claim them. Opening the app the usual way does not collect them, which is why so many players never realize the notification had anything in it.

The usual rules travel with you: one collection per account per code, ever, and codes expire on DoubleDown's schedule. Collect them the day you see them and you will rarely miss anything.

A phone in your pocket beats a computer you have to sit down at, and a whole day's list fits into a couple of minutes of thumbing. It is waiting at https://www.ddpcshares.com/double_down_c ... tion_codes the next time you pick the thing up.
