Notification Codes Explained: Why Some Work for You and Some Do Not

Post by DDPCShares »

Notification codes are the ones DoubleDown pushes to your phone or tablet as an alert. They are one of several kinds we post, alongside codes from emails and from DoubleDown's social pages.

They are also the kind that causes the most confusion, because a notification code can work perfectly for one player and come back as already used for another. There is a reason for that, and it is not a broken link.

How a notification code becomes a shared code

When a notification code goes out, the link behind it can be opened up and the promotional code inside it read out. That code can then be redeemed by many different accounts.

What it cannot do is be redeemed more than once by the same account. One redemption per account, ever - that rule never bends.

So a notification code posted on our list is a genuine gift to anyone who has not had it yet. If DoubleDown already sent it to your phone last night and you tapped it then, it is spent as far as your account is concerned.

Claim it from the notification itself

Here is a detail that costs players chips every week. When a notification with free chips lands on your device, you have to tap or swipe the notification itself to claim it.

Opening the game a few minutes later does not collect it. The chips are attached to the notification, not to the app. Dismiss the alert without tapping it and those chips are gone.

If notifications are not reaching you at all, they can be switched on from inside the game: menu button in the top right next to your chip count, then settings, then opt in to mobile notifications until ACTIVATED appears in green.

That already used message, decoded

Click a notification code and you may see this: "It looks like you have already used this promo code or it has expired."

Read it literally, because it means exactly what it says. Either the code reached your account at some point, or its life has run out.

It does not mean the link is broken. It does not mean the code failed. And nobody can undo it - not us, and not any other website. We have no way to see or change your game account, so there is nothing for us to fix here.

When it is worth asking DoubleDown

If you are genuinely certain you never had that code, and it keeps happening across many codes, that is a question for DoubleDown rather than for us. They are the only ones who can look inside an account.

Open a ticket at https://support.doubledowncasino.com/hc/en-us/requests/new, choose the promotion category, and include the manual code, the exact error text you saw, what device you were using and what you were expecting to receive.

Meanwhile, do not let a couple of already-used messages discourage you. On a busy day there are plenty more codes on the list, and a message that stops one of them says nothing about the next.

Every kind of code we find - notification, email, social and Messenger - ends up together at https://www.ddpcshares.com/double_down_c ... tion_codes. Work down the list and take whatever your account has not seen yet.
