The Facebook Glitch: When a Code Click Gives You Nothing

Post by DDPCShares »

Here is a maddening little moment familiar to anyone who collects codes on a computer. You click a link. DoubleDown Casino loads. Everything looks normal. And no chips arrive.

No error message, no popup, no explanation. Just the game, sitting there, exactly as it was.

This is a known Facebook glitch. It has been happening on and off for a long time, it is not on our end, and there is nothing wrong with the code you clicked.

What is actually happening

The code link is supposed to carry its instructions with it into the game. Sometimes it does not make it. The page loads, but the code part gets dropped along the way.

You can often see it in your browser's address bar. Instead of the long link you clicked, you will see only the plain game address. That is the tell: the code never arrived with you.

The fix is to click again

It sounds too simple to work, and it works.

1. Click the very same link a second time.
2. If the chips still do not appear, click it a third time.
3. Watch the address bar as you go. When the full link sticks there and the page opens with it, the chips come in.

Two or three tries is normal for this glitch. Members have been getting through it that way for a long time. It is not doing any harm to your account, and it is not using up your code - a code that never delivered anything was never redeemed.

Telling this apart from an already-used code

This is the difference worth learning, because the two situations look nothing alike once you know what to watch for.

The glitch is silent. The game loads and simply gives you nothing. No message at all.

An already-used code talks to you. You get a popup saying it looks like you have already used the code or it has expired. That message is final. Clicking again will not help, nobody can reset it, and the code is genuinely finished for your account.

Silence means try again. A message means move on to the next code.

When it is neither

There is a third outcome that is a real fault: the link dumps you on a website front page instead of opening the game. That is a broken link, and it is something we can actually repair.

If that happens, send the details to support@ddpcshares.com or message us on Facebook. Tell us which code it was and what device you were on. Those get fixed quickly, and reporting one helps every player who clicks it after you.

Silent load, no chips? Click it again. Then carry on down the list at https://www.ddpcshares.com/double_down_c ... tion_codes - the rest of the day's codes are not going anywhere.
