Playing DoubleDown Casino on a Kindle Fire

Post by DDPCShares »

Kindle Fire players sometimes feel like the forgotten corner of the community, since most instructions you find are written for iPhones and Android phones. There is no need to feel left out. DoubleDown Casino runs on Kindle Fire tablets, and it is the same casino everyone else is playing.

The differences are small, and they mostly come down to where the settings hide.

Getting the game onto your Fire

Kindle Fire tablets get their apps from Amazon rather than from Google Play or the App Store.

1. Open the app store on your Fire tablet.
2. Search for DoubleDown Casino.
3. Tap to download and install it.
4. Open it, then sign in the same way you already play the game.

If you have played before on a computer or a phone, sign in with that same login and your chips and progress are already there. Your account belongs to your login, not to any one gadget. If this is your first time, your 1,000,000 starter chips are waiting.

Switching on notifications

Notifications matter more than people expect, because DoubleDown sends free chips through them. The Fire keeps its notification controls in its own place:

1. Swipe down to open the device menu.
2. Tap "More..."
3. Tap Applications.
4. Tap Notification Settings.
5. Find DoubleDown in the list and switch it on.

Then set the matching switch inside the game itself. Tap the menu button in the top right, next to your chip count, go to settings, and opt in to "mobile notifications" and "email newsletter" until a green ACTIVATED with a check mark appears.

One habit to build: tap or swipe the notification itself to claim the chips it carries. Opening the app on its own does not collect them.

Collecting codes on a tablet

Promo codes are mostly one-click links. Open our codes page in your Fire's web browser, tap the redeemable link on a code, and the chips are applied to whichever account you are signed in to. Make sure that is the account you actually play.

If a link ever drops you on a website front page instead of taking you into the game, that really is a broken link rather than something you did wrong. Send it to support@ddpcshares.com and we can usually fix it quickly.

If you need DoubleDown's help

Kindle is one of the devices DoubleDown's own support team asks about when you open a ticket, alongside computer, iPhone, Android and iPad. Say so plainly in your first message, along with what happened and any error text you saw. It saves a round of questions.

Fire tablet players are welcome in the community, and the forum is a friendly place to compare notes with others on the same device: https://www.ddpcshares.com/forum/
