Your DoubleDown Player ID: What It Is and Where to Find It

Post by DDPCShares »

The game mentions your Player ID from time to time, and it tends to come up at the worst possible moment: when something has gone wrong and you are asked to identify your account.

It takes about thirty seconds to find, and about a minute to write down somewhere sensible. Doing that today means you never have to hunt for it in a hurry.

What a Player ID is

Your Player ID is the number that identifies your DoubleDown account. Names change, devices change, and plenty of players have the same first name, but the ID is yours alone.

You may never need it. If you do need it, though, you will want it right away rather than after ten minutes of searching, which is why it belongs in the same notebook where you keep your other important details.

Where to find it

1. Open the game the way you normally play it.
2. Find the small round profile picture of yourself in the game and click or tap it.
3. A box opens. Look for the number labeled Player ID.
4. Write it down, or select it and copy it if you are on a computer.

If you want to know more about what you are looking at, there is a see details option at the bottom of that box, and the game's own help section can tell you more.

Some devices lay things out slightly differently, so if the picture is not exactly where you expect, look for the round photo of yourself and start there.

Two other numbers on that same page

While you have that box open, two other useful things are sitting right beside your Player ID.

Your Diamond Color is your tier in Diamond Club, DoubleDown's free loyalty program. It is worth knowing, because the monthly Diamond Codes are different for each color - yours marks the one DoubleDown emails to your tier, though when a batch is posted, every code in it works for every player.

Your Flame Power is a daily number that sets the bet level you need to reach that day to earn Bingo Daubs for the Bingo mini game and jackpots from Lucky Orbs, which are prize orbs you collect while spinning. The higher your Flame Power, the bigger those rewards can be.

Who may ask for it, and who never would

This is the part worth reading twice.

The only person who would ever legitimately ask for your Player ID is a genuine DoubleDown guest-account manager, and that is a rare situation tied to sorting out your own account. It is also useful when you are describing a problem in your own support ticket.

Nobody else needs it. Not a stranger who messages you on Facebook, not a page promising extra chips, not somebody claiming they can top up your balance. If a request for your Player ID arrives out of the blue, treat it as a scam, report the account as spam on Facebook, and block it.

And remember the rule underneath all of this: DoubleDown chips are play money that never convert to cash or goods, so anyone offering you money in exchange for account details is not offering anything real.

With your Player ID safely written down, the pleasant part of the day is still waiting. Fresh codes go up at https://www.ddpcshares.com/double_down_c ... tion_codes, so go and put some chips back in the bank.
