This is one of the most common problems we hear about, and it has a fix that takes about four seconds once you know where to tap.
What is going wrong
When you tap a link inside another app - Facebook, your email app, a messaging app - that app often opens the page in its own small built-in browser rather than in your real browser.
That built-in window is where code links tend to get stuck. It cannot always hand you off to the DoubleDown app the way a proper browser can. The link is fine. It is the little window around it that is in the way.
The fix, step by step
1. Tap the code link as you normally would and let the small window open.
2. Look at the top-right corner of that window for a "..." menu - three dots.
3. Tap the three dots.
4. Choose "Open in an external browser."
5. The page reopens in your normal browser and the code should claim properly.
The wording moves around slightly between apps and Android versions. You may see "Open in browser" or "Open in Chrome" instead. Any of those is the option you want - anything that gets the page out of the small window and into a real browser.
If you collect a lot of codes on Android, it is worth doing this on purpose from the start rather than waiting for a link to fail.
If it still will not open
Try these in order before deciding something is broken.
1. Close the small window completely and tap the link again from the start.
2. Make sure you are signed in to DoubleDown Casino the way you normally play before clicking any codes.
3. Try the same link in a different browser on the phone.
4. Read whatever the screen actually says. If it tells you the code was already used or has expired, the fix above will not help - that code is finished for your account, and nobody can reset it.
When it really is a broken link
There is one result that means something genuinely went wrong: the link drops you on a website front page instead of opening the game. No error, no popup, just a home page.
That one is ours to fix, and we would like to hear about it. Send the code and a note about what happened to support@ddpcshares.com, or message us on Facebook, and mention that you were on Android.
Once the external browser trick is in your fingers, Android becomes a perfectly good way to collect. Give it a try on today's batch at https://www.ddpcshares.com/double_down_c ... tion_codes and see how much smoother the whole list goes.
