Playing DoubleDown Without Facebook: What Changes

Post by DDPCShares »

Not everybody wants a Facebook account, and not everybody who has one wants to play games through it. That is a perfectly reasonable position, and it does not shut you out of DoubleDown Casino.

You can play without Facebook. A few things work differently, and it is better to know which ones before you start rather than to wonder later why a feature looks empty.

You do have a way in

DoubleDown lives in more places than Facebook. The game has its own website at https://www.ddpcshares.com/go?c=1037-46168357, and it has apps for iPhone and iPad, for Android phones and tablets, and for Kindle Fire.

Signing in with an email address is a normal way to play. DoubleDown's own support system takes that for granted: when you open a ticket, it asks you to sign in with Facebook or by email, whichever way you actually play.

One login, one account

Here is the piece that causes the most confusion, so it deserves a clear line.

An email login and a Facebook login are two separate accounts, even when the same person is using both. They have separate chip balances and separate progress. Chips collected on one never appear on the other.

That matters most with promo codes, because a code works once per account, ever. Collecting a code on your email account does not spend it for your Facebook account, and vice versa, but the two never share anything either.

So choose the login you intend to keep and use it every time. Switching back and forth is the single most common way players lose track of where their chips went.

What actually changes

Most of the game is untouched. The slots, the Daily Wheel, the Time Bonus and promo codes all work exactly as they do for everybody else.

The features built on friends are the ones that lean on Facebook. Gift spins, the daily back-and-forth of sending spins to other players, are sent to and from your Facebook friends. The Invite a Friend bonus, which pays 1,000,000 chips when someone new to the game joins through an invite you send from inside the game, shows you a list of Facebook friends to invite. The Friend Bonus wedge on the Daily Wheel grows with the friends you have in the game.

Without Facebook, that whole social layer is quieter. Nothing else is taken away from you, and the game is still perfectly enjoyable, but it is honest to say that the friend rewards are harder to reach.

Support and codes work the same

If something goes wrong with your account, the route is identical. Open a ticket at https://support.doubledowncasino.com/hc/en-us/requests/new, sign in the way you play, and describe what happened.

And codes need nothing from Facebook at all. They are links, they open in any browser, and they credit whichever account you are signed in to.

Facebook or no Facebook, the free chips are posted in one place, every day: https://www.ddpcshares.com/double_down_c ... tion_codes
