Before anything else, a small clarification that saves a lot of confusion, because two very different things in this game have the word wheel in the name.
The slot is not the Daily Wheel
The Daily Wheel is a DoubleDown feature rather than a slot machine. It gives you one free spin every day, and what it pays depends on which wedge it lands on. One of those is a Friend Bonus wedge that grows with the number of in-game friends you have, and it maxes out at 250,000 chips once you have 25 friends.
Wheel of Fortune is a slot game in the library. You play it with chips, at a bet you choose, for as long as you like.
So if a fellow player tells you to go spin the wheel, they might mean either one. Now you know to ask which.
What we can and cannot tell you about the game
We can tell you that Wheel of Fortune is one of the long-running favorites in a library of more than 200 authentic Vegas slots, the same style of machines that sit on real casino floors.
We will not walk you through its features, because games get updated over time and we would rather hand you nothing than hand you something out of date. Sit down with it for a few spins and the game will show you what it does far better than a description would.
What is true of every slot in the lobby is true of this one. It is a random-number game. Each spin picks its own result, with no memory of the spin before it. No bet size, button rhythm or time of day changes that, and nobody selling a system knows otherwise.
Sitting down with it sensibly
1. Collect the free things first: your Daily Wheel spin, your Time Bonus once it has refilled, and the day's promo codes.
2. Check your balance and choose a bet that leaves you plenty of spins. Ten spins is not a session. A hundred is.
3. Tap the grey heart beside PLAY NOW to save the game to your Favorites folder, so you can find it again in two taps.
4. Stop when you are ready to stop. Nothing is building toward anything.
Why famous names end up in a free game
Players enjoy the machines they already recognize, and DoubleDown's library is built out of exactly those. Spotting a game you last saw on a real casino floor is a pleasant feeling, and here it costs nothing at all.
Every chip in the game is play money. Chips never convert to cash, prizes or goods, and they cannot be sold or transferred, which is what makes a famous casino name safe to enjoy for an evening.
